When shopping for new floor tiles with which to renovate their home, people appear to be selecting from a wide range of colours.
This has been suggested by founder and managing director of Ecora Daniel Bloom, who said whites, greys, dark browns and black are all popular options.
He added wood flooring is also a hit, particularly timber in white washes and grey, noting dark and smoked varieties are increasingly being sought.
"When renovating an old home, it is important to assess the condition, thickness, species and finish of the existing floor. Some floors can be sanded, stained - if required - then refinished," Mr Bloom continued.
The expert added that a completely new floor is usually considered as part of a larger renovation, because older styles are prone to becoming draughty.
People could be thinking of new kinds of materials to floor their home with, as interior designer Carolyn Parker recently claimed stone is increasingly being sought.
